About MCM
Ben is a highly qualified communications coach who draws on his experience both as a broadcast journalist and his work for a top PR company.
Prior to working independently, Ben worked for global agency Porter Novelli as UK Media Director. During his time there, he gained extensive experience in all aspects of communications, including issues and crisis management, presentation, media and message development training.
A broadcast journalist for 15 years, Ben worked for BBC News, presenting on BBC 3's Seven O'clock News, News 24, Weekend Breakfast and BBC 1's Inside Out in the Midlands. He has also worked as a Correspondent for BBC News, ITN and Sky News covering stories in the UK and around the world. He started his career in Local Radio, where he was trained by the BBC.
From his work as a reporter interviewing a vast range of people, Ben has a real understanding of the importance of good communications skills. Most importantly, working with a wide variety of clients in different industries has given him insights into the pressure business people are under to deliver the right message in language the audience can understand.
